ASHK/IFoA Joint Webinar: Health Products amid Covid-19 and regulation changes

The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong (ASHK) will hold a joint webinar on the health product development in mainland China and Hong Kong, in particular how the insurance companies are seeking to improve and change their product offerings in light of pandemics and regulation changes.

We will be joined by two senior FIAs, Ms Orchis Li and Mr Eric Yang who will share their views and insights of health products in Hong Kong and mainland China respectively.

Orchis will talk about issues and development impacting in particular health products in the Hong Kong market in recent years and how things have changed during COVID-19. Eric will introduce the recent trends on the development of China mainland’s multi-layer health insurance system, to give a brief overview of its recent development, particularly from a commercial health insurance perspective, including product innovation and potential future trends.

The 90-minute webinar consists of two presentations and a Q&A session.

Professional Skills Training session (Jointly held by the IFoA and China Life)
Friday, 6 September 2019

The IFoA Beijing Office and China Life are pleased to be co-hosting a Professional Skills Training session in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen on Friday, 6 September 2019.

Wen Li (FIA), the IFoA Lead Representative in China and East Asia, will lead the PST presentation and discussion on ‘Getting it right!’. The main venue will be in Beijing. Members in Shanghai and Shenzhen can join the interaction with Beijing via video conference at China Life’s regional venues.

This event applies to all practice areas and is free for IFoA members. Attendees can claim up to two hours PST.
